Participatory art experiences designed for children ages 5 – 12 and their adult companions.

Color, Glue and Photos Too
June 21, Noon – 3pm

This Father’s Day, bring a favorite family photo and embellish it with original artwork, making a photographic collage inspired by Charting the Canyon. (Onsite Polaroids and frames provided while supplies last!)

Searching for the Missing Subject
July 11, Noon – 3pm

Experience the richness and variety of Planet Earth – through landscapes! Grab our special map, seek out the missing artworks in Searching for a Bigger Subject and other Museum galleries, and add your sketches to complete the scenes.

Phantom Sightings Fiesta
August 22, Noon – 4pm

Enjoy family-oriented activities in the afternoon that celebrate the Museum's Latin-American collection and the blending of cultures in Phoenix. Music, lotería, seek-and-find games, printmaking and some surprises kick off this festival that runs until Midnight!

Admission Noon – 4pm free for families of up to four children and two adults.

Awesome Blossoms
October 4, Noon – 3pm

Take inspiration from A Natural Perspective, and test your flower-making skills!
Experiment with watercolor techniques to paint a flower as unique as you.

KidPacks

Children ages 6 to 10 and their adult companions will enjoy exploring the Museum with this child-size backpack full of activity cards, puzzles, looking activities and other creative challenges that correspond to art in the Museum's collection. KidPacks can be checked out for free in the lobby; a limited number of KidPacks are available.

Audioguide for Families

The bilingual MP3 audioguide to the collection, available free of charge at the Visitors Desk, includes audio stops specially designed for children and families, to keep you entertained and informed. For more information, click here
