INDEPENDENT WOMAN LUNCHEON

Now in its 10th year, the Independent Woman Luncheon (IWL) has become one of the Valley’s most beautiful and beloved philanthropic events. The luncheon celebrates members of the Valley’s premier design community, who come together each spring in support of exhibitions and arts education programs at Phoenix Art Museum.

In celebration of its decade-long history, this year’s event will honor Ellen Katz, who created and chaired the inaugural Independent Woman Luncheon in 2011, along with other former IWL chairs.

Additionally, the luncheon will continue its tradition of presenting a high-profile designer as the keynote speaker by welcoming Martyn Lawrence Bullard.

Bullard is a multi-award winning Los Angeles-based interior designer renowned for his broad range of styles and eclectic, yet sophisticated and inviting, interiors. He has been consistently named one of the world’s top 100 interior designers by Architectural Digest, featured permanently in Elle Decor’s A-List, and named one of the top 25 designers by The Hollywood Reporter.

His work has appeared in more than 4,000 publications worldwide, including Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, House & Garden, W, Vogue, House Beautiful, Harper’s Bazaar, Departures, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and the Los Angeles Times, among others. Bullard’s celebrity clientele include Kylie Jenner, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian, Tommy Hilfiger, Cher, Ellen Pompeo, and Eva Mendes, to name a few.

Bullard will be available to sign copies of his book Design & Decoration. The event also promises one-of-a-kind themed centerpieces created by top Valley design firms, which will be inspired by Bullard’s dynamic work. Guests will enjoy an auction during which they can bid on tablescapes to remember the unique occasion.
