Phoenix Art Museum is proud to announce a one-of-a-kind partnership with Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport

PHOENIX (April 1, 2025) – Phoenix Art Museum is proud to announce a one-of-a-kind partnership with Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (@phxskyharbor), launching this week exclusively for our PhxArt Members.

We know how stressful travel days can be so why not relax and let us take some of that load off? Starting this Friday, Members can spend a few hours visiting PhxArt’s exhibitions while we take care of your flight’s check-in process–everything from storing your carry-ons to checking your bags to printing your boarding passes. This is all part of our goal of joining forces with America’s Friendliest Airport® to become America’s Friendliest Art Museum.

Some of you may wonder, “How will I get to my flight?” We’ve figured that part out, too. We’ve built a zero-emission, underground transportation system that connects PhxArt with Sky Harbor. Located 2 miles beneath the ground, this high-speed train (chugging along at up to 800 mph!) was a significant undertaking spearheaded by our CEO, Jeremy Mikolajczak, to reflect our commitment to innovation and exceptional customer service.

As part of our 90th anniversary celebration, we’re doing something about that as we launch an innovative partnership between America’s Friendliest Airport® and Phoenix Art Museum. We are proud to be the first airport in the world to offer travelers the ability to begin their travel journey at one of America’s must-see art museums. Having one of the largest airport art programs in the country, this new partnership will provide Sky Harbor with an opportunity to further elevate the passenger experience with even more access to arts and culture.”
