Safety Blankets: Discourse on Neurodivergence aims to disrupt misconceptions, spark connections and discourse, and challenge the meaning of neurodivergence. The installation, presented in PhxArt’s administration building, showcases quilt and textile works by 15 artists from Arizona and across the U.S. who depict their lives and experiences as neurodivergent people. June 18 – August 1, 2018 Discount Tire Free Family Weekend participants explored angles in relation to the landscape with Phoenix-based artist Laura Spalding Best. Currently on view in the 2017 Contemporary Forum Artists’ Grants Recipients exhibition, Best’s paintings on found objects depict mirages on the horizon of desert highways in the southwest. These phenomena of
