Phoenix Art Museum offers free summer admission to military personnel and their families through Blue Star Museums program

PHOENIX (May 17, 2024) – Phoenix Art Museum announces it will once again join museums nationwide in the Blue Star Museums initiative for the second year, made possible through the generosity of Blue Cross® Blue Shield® of Arizona and Shamrock Foods Foundation. The annual initiative provides free admission to active-duty U.S. military personnel and their families through the summer. The 2024 Blue Star Museums program will begin on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 18, 2024, and end on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024. For a full list of participating museums, click here.

“Phoenix Art Museum is thrilled to honor those in our community who give so freely of themselves in service to our nation with free admission through the national Blue Star Museums initiative,” said Jeremy Mikolajczak, the Museum’s Sybil Harrington Director and CEO. “We are deeply grateful to our sponsors Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and Shamrock Foods Foundation for their support of this important access program.”

The Blue Star Museums program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military, including the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, and Space Force, members of the Reserves, National Guard, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, and NOAA Commissioned Corps. The program also provides free admission to up five family members of active-duty personnel. Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), DD Form 1173-1 ID card, or the Next Generation Uniformed Services (Real) ID card for entrance into any participating Blue Star Museum.
