Scrollathon in Arizona

Founded by contemporary artists and brothers Steven and William Ladd, Scrollathon is a groundbreaking collaborative art project that brings together participants from all 50 states, 5 U.S. territories, and Washington, D.C. to create a living portrait of creativity, resilience, and connection across America.

Phoenix Art Museum is proud to be a program host for Arizona, where select participants will engage in hands-on workshops, creating individual textile artworks inspired by personal memories and experiences. Each participant will then contribute to a Collaborative Masterwork — a permanent artistic legacy representing Arizona as part of the 250th anniversary of the United States.

The National Scrollathon and American Storytellers initiatives will culminate in a major exhibition at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. in 2026 in honor of America’s Semiquincentennial.
