frequently asked questions

How do I make a group reservation?

To schedule a visit for a group of 10 or more, or for more information, contact us at 602.307.2090 or groupsales@phxart.org. Your group may choose a Docent-guided tour or a self-guided tour.

How much does admission cost?

Admission prices flex based on special exhibitions on view or gallery closures (when we are working on something new for you to experience). All exhibitions are included with general admission.

Click here for current admission pricing and information on voluntary-donation times.

Are audio/media guides available?

The Museum does not presently provide audio-guide listening devices for individuals or groups. However, certain artworks in our collection may feature additional resources, including audio recordings, videos, extended descriptions, and more, available on our website.

Will I receive confirmation of our group order?

Yes, you will receive a confirmation via email once your reservation has been officially booked. Reservations are not guaranteed until you have received confirmation from the Group Sales Office.

What if our group has less than 10 people on arrival?

If you have booked a Docent-guided tour, you will be asked to purchase seven tickets regardless of the number of people who have arrived. Self-guided groups with less than 10 members will no longer qualify for a discounted group rate and will need to pay full admission.

Renting a bus

Need a phoenix charter bus to accommodate your group to the Phoenix Art Museum. Rely on National Charter Bus and Phoenix Charter Bus Company to get your group here safely and efficiently. CharterUP is another provider in the area that can streamline your trip to the museum. Contact them at 623-283-2674.

Is there a group rate?

If you are planning a self-guided visit, you will receive a discounted group rate ($3 off general admission pricing) for adults and seniors (65+ years) on the day of your visit. Group visits with a Docent-guided tour are not eligible for discounted admission.

Can we have a tour guide?

Docent-guided tours are available with at least four-weeks notice prior to the desired date of visit, pending availability. The tours are approximately one hour in length.

Do I need a confirmed number of attendees when booking our reservation?

No, you may give an estimate of attendees when booking your group visit. Please update us at least 48 hours in advance if the number of attendees significantly increases or decreases.

How does our group check in?

On the day of your visit, you will need to check in at the guest services desk in the Museum’s main entrance, located in Greenbaum Lobby, to make a single payment for all group members and receive your tickets. All members of the group must self-identify that they are part of a group reservation to ensure they receive the correct tickets.

Does the Museum offer dining options?

After more than a decade of partnership and dedicated service to every Museum visitor who has passed through our doors, Phoenix Art Museum has announced that Palette Restaurant has closed permanently to the public.

PhxArt is currently working with a community partner to bring a new restaurant experience to our visitors, art lovers, and foodies of the Valley, which will open this fall. Details on the new establishment will be announced in the coming months.

While the PhxArt restaurant is closed, we encourage guests to visit our neighbors for food and beverage services:
