Arizona Costume Institute launches new social-networking event for ACI members and friends

Monthly ACI Member Social Hours hosted at Phoenix Art Museum in Palette Restaurant to build community around fashion

PHOENIX (August 3, 2021) – Arizona Costume Institute (ACI), a support group of Phoenix Art Museum that raises vital funds for the institution’s fashion-design exhibitions, acquisitions, and education programs, has launched a new monthly social event for ACI members. Monthly ACI Member Social Hours will be hosted every third Wednesday of the month in Palette, the Museum’s on-site restaurant, and will connect ACI members with fellow fashion enthusiasts from across the Valley of the Sun.

Attendees of the event will learn about Arizona Costume Institute and the fashion-design collection at Phoenix Art Museum, one of only seven art museums in the country with a long and continuously active fashion-design program. ACI members are encouraged to invite friends, who will learn about the Museum and the many benefits of becoming an ACI member. Each social hour will feature access to special guests, including Arizona Costume Institute board members and members of Museum leadership. Beginning this fall, attendees will also enjoy Docent-led tours of current fashion-design exhibitions.

All ACI members and their invited guests are welcomed to attend. Online registration and Museum admission are not required. The ACI Social Hour is a no-host event. All food and beverage is optional and can be purchased individually at Palette.

For those attendees who wish to experience current special-engagement exhibitions on view at Phoenix Art Museum prior to the ACI Social Hour, admission will be required, and tickets can be pre-purchased here. For more information about Monthly ACI Member Social Hours, email support-aci@phxart.org or call 602.307.2011.
