The Art of Play

2020 has been a tough year—there’s no doubt about it. And while serious conversations and self-reflections are good, important, and necessary, we are reminded that we must remember to refresh and re-energize ourselves after changes both big and small. We are reminded that we must remember to play.

To bring a sense of fun and whimsy to your day, we’ve compiled a selection of artworks from our collection that explore themes of sport and competition, theater and dance, daydreaming and make-believe. Enjoy these depictions of dreamscapes, a polo match, children at play, a rousing game of checkers, and more, and let them inspire you to inject some playful moments into your daily life.
