Figural Variations illuminates the ways American artists through the centuries have interpreted the human figure in painted portraits and self-portraits. These works, drawn from the collection of Phoenix Art Museum, portray a broad range of subjects in various artistic styles.
Featured paintings include those by Marcia Marcus, Sylvia Sleigh, Lorser Feitelson, and Arthur B. Carles. Also included is a work by Japanese-American artist Miné Okubo.
