Waymo riders to receive $2 off special exhibition tickets during “Waymo Wednesdays”

PHOENIX (May 30, 2024) – From June 5 through July 3, 2024, Waymo riders who use the autonomous ride-hailing service to visit Phoenix Art Museum (PhxArt) during a Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesday will enjoy a $2 discount on special exhibition tickets.

“We are very excited to announce this partnership with Waymo,” said Jeremy Mikolajczak, the Sybil Harrington Director and CEO of Phoenix Art Museum. “For more than 20 years, Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesdays have reduced economic barriers and offered extended hours of operation for more than 1 million community members to experience art from around the world. Thanks to Waymo, we are able to further deepen our commitment to increased access, especially at a time when so many are looking to escape the heat with their families and friends.”

Every Wednesday, from 3 – 9 pm, PhxArt opens with voluntary-donation general admission and reduced special exhibition tickets during Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesdays, the Museum’s longest running access program made possible through the generosity of SRP and the City of Phoenix. From June 5 through July 3 during “Waymo Wednesdays” sponsored by Waymo, individuals who take a Waymo to the Museum for Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesdays will enjoy reduced special exhibition tickets, priced at $8 for adults and $3 for youth (6-17). To receive the discount, Waymo riders must present confirmation of their completed ride at the front desk. The discount will apply to all passengers who ride together.

All Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesday tickets through July 3 include access to Barbie®: A Cultural Icon Exhibition, The Power of Pink, and Multiple Realities: Experimental Art in the Eastern Bloc 1960s-1980s. Special exhibition tickets for the general public during Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesdays are currently $10 for adults and $5 for youth (6-17).
