Phoenix Art Museum launches monthly Membership subscriptions

As Museum re-opens, new payment plans provide a flexible and affordable Membership option during the time of COVID-19

PHOENIX (September 21, 2020) – Phoenix Art Museum has launched new monthly Membership subscriptions in concurrence with its re-opening to Members on October 1 and the general public on October 14, following the institution’s temporary closure necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Ranging from $6 to $9 per month, the payment plans provide three low-cost, flexible, pay-as-you-go options for individuals and families to enjoy the benefits and rewards of Museum Membership, including unlimited admission, shopping and dining discounts, invitations to exclusive Members’ events, and free or discounted tickets to Museum events and programs.

“We are proud to present our new monthly subscription program in an ongoing effort to increase access to arts and culture,” said Tim Rodgers, PhD, the Sybil Harrington Director and CEO of Phoenix Art Museum. “With payments as low as $6 per month, our entry-level Memberships are a more affordable way for our community to enjoy all that Phoenix Art Museum has to offer. These pay-as-you-go plans also provide a flexible Membership experience during a time when the nature of visiting arts and cultural institutions has shifted drastically due to COVID-19.”

The Museum’s three new general Membership subscriptions include the “Just Me” plan for one adult ($6 per month), the “You and Me” plan for two adults ($8 per month), and the “All of Us” plan for two adults and their children or grandchildren aged 17 and younger ($9 per month). Each option features unlimited admission to the Museum, including special-engagement exhibitions; a 10% discount at The Museum Store and Palette, the Museum’s on-site restaurant; invitations to exclusive exhibition viewings and other Members’ events; and free or discounted tickets to Museum lectures, films, and more. New subscriptions can be activated using a credit card and with no activation fee.

“Our new subscriptions provide the same benefits as the Museum’s annual Memberships but with the convenience and flexibility of a pay-as-you-go plan. Their low monthly rates also make Membership a more affordable option for a broad segment of our community, including young people and families balancing the challenges of COVID-19,  student loan repayment, increased cost of living, and other expenses,” said Nikki DeLeon Martin, the Museum’s Chief External Affairs Officer who oversees the Museum’s Membership Programs. “Coupled with our free-access days each month, we hope these subscription options will continue to reduce economic barriers that prevent people from regularly visiting the Museum.”

In addition, Phoenix Art Museum now offers a monthly payment plan for current Museum Members who wish to join Circles of Support, the Museum’s prestigious annual-giving program, at the $1,500 level. Members can divide their gifts across 12 interest-free payments of $125 per month to enjoy additional benefits, such as invitations to private exhibition openings, exclusive collection tours, artist studio visits, and premier lectures.
